Ages 2 through 4. Thursday 10:00-11:00 AM
Tiny Tots Storytime is for children ages 2 through 4 years. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Tiny Tots Storytime will follow the format outlined in Storytime Overview. The storytime will have a different theme each week. All materials and activities will relate to the theme. The librarian will read stories, sing songs, and use props such as puppets, a felt board, and musical instruments. A craft project and games will be included. Informational books related to the theme will be introduced. The last fifteen minutes of each storytime will be free play. Handouts with the titles of the books read during the program, song lyrics, book recommendations, and early literacy asides will be distributed to parents and caregivers. Snacks will be provided.
Staffing: The Children’s Librarian will run this program. The Children’s Department Assistant will help with set up, clean up, and assist as needed during the program.
