Bendy Bookworm Yoga Storytime

Little Bookworms: Yoga Storytime for Toddlers Tuesday 10:00-10:45 (A parent or caregiver must attend the program)

Bendy Bookworms: Yoga and Craft for Grades K-3 Wednesday, 3:30-4:15 PM (A parent or caregiver must remain in the library but does not need to attend the program)

These programs will run for four weeks in January as part of the theme New Year, New You (Health and Wellness).

Danielle from Bendy Bookworm Yoga will lead the children with stories, yoga poses, and songs to practice higher level thinking and language and emotional development. The combination of yoga and literacy education provides opportunities for children to learn cognitive skills, ignite their imagination, and support emotional understanding. The yoga poses are part of the learning process. Bendy Bookworm Yoga classes are fun and interactive- the children are learning through play. These programs will “promote a lifelong love of reading and healthy lifestyle habits” (Bendy Bookworm, n.d.)

Staffing: This program is run by Danielle Fisher of Bendy Bookworm. The Children’s Department Assistant will help during the class.
